Welcome to the campfire. Just like walking up to a campfire at a local crag or beach you never know what kind of conversation you'll intercept here. We may be talking about prosthetic feet or it may be the latest health-care bill pending before congress. You may find a thread about which camera is the best to take on your sea-kayaking trip or one asking how to get in touch with Erik Weihenmayer. You just don't know what you'll find here. Use the search function to look up prior threads or just browse. All we ask is that you be respectful and honor the sanctity of the campfire. Thx, Malcolm

Check this out! Someone's thinking about how a person without a hand can cast a flyrod.

Nice! I'm going to have to try that out, I've had no luck here spin casting...looking forward to a good fishing month for March when I can get an in-state license. Watch out, fishies!

Thanks for the link. I did this with the help of Northeast Passage, at the University of New Hampshire. While I haven't actually tested it with Ted, I do have plans online if anyone else wants to make their own. There is a community of builders online at the Open Prosthetics Project. Please email me at jlev@mit.edu for more information.
