As many of you know, snacks are the key to sending hard and having a great climbing trip. Since we are all stuck at home it’s a perfect time to do some backyard cookouts, and sharpen your skills in the camp kitchen. Today I want to share one of my favorite recipes for the campground, the van, or wherever you decide to dirtbag on your next adventure when we are able to get back out there. The real beauty of this recipe is the fact that it is easy to make with ingredients that serve multiple purposes in your camp-kitchen. Pro-tip, coconut oil is great for your dog’s paws after a long day on the trail.
These Peanut Butter Climber Cups are simple enough to make while your partner is struggling to start a fire, or if you are the first one up every morning waiting for the heavy sleepers. All you need is two camp cups, a fork, measuring cups, and a baking tin of some sort. You can also freestyle and substitute any of these items with things you have in the camper. If you are too macho to own a mini cup-cake tray, you can also make this a large 8×9 ‘fudge bar’ and cut it into squares.
Disclaimer: for those of you who have a type A personality and worry about perfect measuring, I promise you it is almost impossible to mess this recipe up. Guesstimate!
Remember, this is camping- it is supposed to be fun (and messy).
