Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, we Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, we have 9 free tickets to 504: The Musical on August 17th at 7:30PM at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts! Ticket preference goes to the adaptive community.

*Please note: This is not a Paradox Sports event, we are only managing ticket distribution.

Details about the show: 1977. San Francisco. A prolific group of disabled activists walks and rolls into the federal building, refusing to leave until the first major piece of legislation for disability rights is enforced. They stayed in that building for 25 days. 504: The Musical is a fictionalized adaptation of those fateful days of disabled resistance. This world premiere pulses with energy, heart, and the unmistakable spirit of resilience in the face of a world that doesn’t accept you. Blending vibrant music with rich storytelling, the show follows a community on the brink of change as they fight for connection, identity, and hope in the face of shifting times.

For over 37 years, Phamaly Theatre Company has been a creative home for theatre artists with disabilities, producing professional plays, musicals, and original work cast entirely of performers with all types of disabilities: physical, emotional, intellectual, cognitive, and trauma-based. Phamaly is dedicated to modeling a disability-affirmative theatrical process and upending conventional narratives by transforming individuals, audiences, and the world.

Tickets and additional information are available through the Events Calendar link in our bio or at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/MRLAK29HQWDN9CM7EBT1/event/phamaly/
Our Ukraine training has begun. Five days and, via Our Ukraine training has begun. Five days and, via the instructors we are training, an opportunity to positively impact hundreds or thousands of veterans with disabilities.

Ukrainians are, by necessity, innovative. They’re clearly ready to take the skills and information we’re sharing and have a positive impact on their huge community of veterans with disabilities.

We got the call to come to Ukraine and said “yes.” But when our team boarded their flight, we were still counting on you to make this work. Paradox can’t do this work if it draws funds and resources from our U.S. programs. Please consider a small donation to power this program and enable ongoing work supporting veterans in Ukraine.

Visit us at paradoxsports.org or the link in our bio.

Follow along over the next four days while our team is in Ukraine! Let us know if you have questions!

This is a small part of the memorial to local sold This is a small part of the memorial to local soldiers lost in the small Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivsk.

We can’t help those who’ve lost, but we can help the tens of thousands of veterans returning home with disabilities.

Paradox’s small team is currently in Ukraine to help launch a national adaptive climbing program. With our partners in the country, we seek to build rehabilitation and community.

Because we felt the need is so great, we headed to Ukraine before we even had the funds in place to fully support the project. Your support would mean we can finish out this initial effort and continue to support the community of Ukrainian veterans.

At least 100,000 amputees. That is the current es At least 100,000 amputees.

That is the current estimate for Ukraine from the Superhumans Center, as recently reported by @nytimes. Behind that number are people rebuilding strength, identity, relationships, and daily life while Russia’s war continues.

Medical care, prosthetics, and rehabilitation are essential. So are places where someone can be a climber, teammate, and leader—not only a patient.

Climbing cannot undo what happened. It can create challenge, trust, problem-solving, and community. That is why this work matters now.

Please share this post to help more people understand the role adaptive sports can play. Learn more at the link in our bio.

We’re going to Ukraine to help launch an adaptive We’re going to Ukraine to help launch an adaptive climbing program. The goal: Make sure they can keep it going without us.

From August 2–6, Paradox will work alongside Ukrainian climbers in Ivano-Frankivsk and Kamianets-Podilskyi, training roughly 20 instructors and climbing with roughly 20 Veterans with disabilities.

We’ll share adaptive systems, disability awareness, risk management, and program-building tools developed over nearly 20 years. Ukrainian climbers and Veterans will shape them for their communities and carry the work forward.

Five days is the starting hold, not the summit.
